Halvard Group

A food production company in northern Iowa. This company has a lot of employees that live basically in a town around the plants. When the event happened they rounded up all of the employees they had and holed up in their facilities. They closed the doors to their stockpiles. After all of the looting and all the stores no longer held any food at all. The halvard group realized they were sitting on a gold mine. First they started to recruit protection by finding armed people and basically saying if they work to protect us we will feed you. Then they started to sell their stockpile at crazy high prices. Once they basically created an army of people they started to going to all the farms that supplied them and basically took them over, so they are now producing their own food. Slowly they started spreading their reach and took over all the farm land in iowa, controlling all of the food and basically holding an army.
